Essential Job Functions
- Test Planning & Execution
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts for application enhancements and system modernization efforts.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, and user acceptance testing of enterprise Java web applications.
- Conduct comprehensive UI testing, including usability, cross-browser compatibility, and responsive design validation.
- Execute manual testing for complex business workflows and system functionality.
- Verify application functionality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Quality, Security & Accessibility
- Validate compliance with federal cybersecurity policies and secure application requirements.
- Ensure applications meet Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards.
- Verify application security controls, authentication, authorization, and data protection requirements.
- Test enterprise applications deployed in Windows Server environments.
- Automation & Integration
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated UI regression test suites.
- Perform API testing of RESTful services and Apache Solr integrations.
- Integrate automated testing into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle using enterprise defect tracking tools.
- Collaboration & Documentation
- Collaborate with developers, database administrators, DevOps engineers, business analysts, and cybersecurity teams.
- Document test results, defects, quality metrics, and release readiness.
- Develop test documentation, traceability matrices, and quality assurance reports.
- Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and release readiness activities.
Required Skills
- Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
- 13+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A Bachelor's degree may substitute for 4 years of experience. A Master's degree may substitute for 6 years of experience.
- Extensive experience testing enterprise Java web applications.
- Strong experience performing functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
- Expertise in UI testing, including usability and cross-browser compatibility testing.
- Experience with automated UI testing frameworks.
- Experience using enterprise defect tracking systems.
- Knowledge of federal cybersecurity requirements and secure software testing practices.
- Experience validating Section 508 and WCAG accessibility compliance.
- Experience testing applications hosted on Apache Tomcat.
- Experience validating Oracle 19c database integrations.
- Experience testing SAP Business Intelligence reporting solutions.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and Apache Solr integrations.
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments.
- Experience integrating automated testing into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
