Responsibilities

• Responsible for all quality assurance documentation for the Blood & Marrow Transplant division of the John Theurer Cancer Center.
• Maintains Quality Assurance documents for FDA, FACT, NMDP, and other regulatory bodies.
• Monitors staff regulatory compliance related to annual validations.
• Develops and provides assessment tools for monitoring staff education compliance.
• Meets with the program medical director, Collection Center Director, and Nurse Managers to design and implement Standard Operating Procedures.
• Works on special projects for the Blood & Marrow Transplant Department, including quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and education series.
• Acts as a resource for the staff.
• Submits regulatory and educational reports as requested.
• Coordinates and facilitates quarterly quality management meetings, including agenda, audits, validation studies, and collection reports.
• Performs audits to monitor compliance with regulatory standards as outlined by agencies such as FACT and JCAHO.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in BMT transplant, apheresis, and photopheresis.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

• Oncology Certified Nurse certification.
• FACT certified training.
• Apheresis Training Certificate.
• Photopheresis Training Certificate.
