Quality Assurance - NDT Technician 1st shift
About the role
The NDT Inspector position at Chromalloy is responsible for performing non-destructive evaluations of gas turbine engine components using various NDT processes such as FPI, MPI, Laser, C-Scan, eddy current, and X-Ray. Key responsibilities include inspecting components according to work instructions, blueprints, and customer specifications, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Performs Laser inspection II, Ultrasonic inspection II, X-Ray inspection II, up to MPI/FPI level II processing and inspection.
- Maintains quality documents and confirms quality of own work using inspection tools.
- Generates repair work scopes and regulatory paperwork as required.
- Prepares and executes routine preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong shop mathematics skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions).
- At least 3-5 years of experience as an inspector in a manufacturing environment, with 5+ years preferred.
- Preferred certifications in MPI/FPI level II and X-Ray level II.
- Ability to follow instructions, read blueprints, and work in a team setting.

- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to wear specific PPE provided by the company (steel toe shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses).
- May require work outside of regular hours to meet operational needs.

Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels.
Schedule
This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
