About the role

The Navy Array Technical Support Center (NATSC) is the depot-level repair activity for US Navy surface ship and submarine towed sonar arrays. It is a Government Owned-Contractor Operated (GOCO) facility located at the Navy Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, and Naval Station Newport, in Newport RI.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain operation’s adherence to NATSC processes and procedures for all Towed Array program and product lines.
  • Evaluate/inspect work performed in accordance with Government generated Work Instructions, drawings, specifications, ECPs and other approved guidance.
  • Develop/review and implement quality plans/procedures in compliance with government Quality Operating Policy and Procedures (QOP) as per contract.
  • Oversee Quality Assurance personnel in recruiting, retention, training, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and 5+ years or master’s with 3+ years of prior relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience within a Quality Assurance group supporting a depot repair and/or manufacturing environment with experience supervising or leading teams or projects
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 quality standards and their application to quality management programs
  • Ability to obtain and retain a US DOD security clearance at the SECRET level

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Hold an active US DOD security clearance at the SECRET level
  • Five or more years prior experience in a leadership position in US Government DOD projects and direct liaison with Government customers
  • Prior experience in direct liaison with Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport on matters related to towed array systems
  • Prior experience using NDA (NATSC Depot Application), TAMS (Towed Asset Management System), and/or CMPro (Process/Document Management System)

Skills

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with quality assurance methodologies and tools

Pay

$92,300.00 - $166,850.00
