About the role
The Navy Array Technical Support Center (NATSC) is the depot-level repair activity for US Navy surface ship and submarine towed sonar arrays. It is a Government Owned-Contractor Operated (GOCO) facility located at the Navy Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, and Naval Station Newport, in Newport RI.
Responsibilities
- Maintain operation’s adherence to NATSC processes and procedures for all Towed Array program and product lines.
- Evaluate/inspect work performed in accordance with Government generated Work Instructions, drawings, specifications, ECPs and other approved guidance.
- Develop/review and implement quality plans/procedures in compliance with government Quality Operating Policy and Procedures (QOP) as per contract.
- Oversee Quality Assurance personnel in recruiting, retention, training, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and 5+ years or master’s with 3+ years of prior relevant experience
- 3+ years of experience within a Quality Assurance group supporting a depot repair and/or manufacturing environment with experience supervising or leading teams or projects
- Familiar with ISO 9001 quality standards and their application to quality management programs
- Ability to obtain and retain a US DOD security clearance at the SECRET level
Qualifications
- Preferred: Hold an active US DOD security clearance at the SECRET level
- Five or more years prior experience in a leadership position in US Government DOD projects and direct liaison with Government customers
- Prior experience in direct liaison with Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport on matters related to towed array systems
- Prior experience using NDA (NATSC Depot Application), TAMS (Towed Asset Management System), and/or CMPro (Process/Document Management System)
Skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with quality assurance methodologies and tools

$92,300.00 - $166,850.00
