Quality Assurance Manager
About the role
DeZURIK is seeking a Manager of Quality Assurance to lead the Quality team and drive continuous improvement across a complex, high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. This highly visible leadership role influences product quality, customer satisfaction, operational performance, and business results daily. You will oversee the quality management system, maintain ISO 9001 compliance, lead corrective action initiatives, support supplier quality improvement efforts, and partner closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and leadership teams.
This role balances shop-floor support, team leadership, quality planning, audits, metrics, and strategic improvement initiatives. It is ideal for someone who enjoys solving difficult problems and making decisions with meaningful business impact. You will focus on identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and driving improvements while navigating ambiguity and prioritizing effectively in a fast-paced environment.
In your first 30 days, you will build relationships, learn the business, understand team dynamics, and identify key opportunities. By 90 days, you will develop a roadmap for 2026 and help shape priorities and budget planning for 2027.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians.
- Oversee the quality management system and maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
- Lead corrective action initiatives and support supplier quality improvement efforts.
- Partner with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and leadership teams.
- Balance shop-floor support, team leadership, quality planning, audits, and metrics.
- Identify issues, analyze root causes, and drive strategic improvement initiatives.
- Develop a roadmap for 2026 and contribute to 2027 priorities and budget planning.
Requirements
- Experience in manufacturing quality systems, ISO standards, blueprint interpretation, Total Quality Management principles, and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to motivate teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree is preferred but not required.
Pay
Competitive base salary in the range of $98,221 to $122,776, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
