We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to bring their passion and attention to detail to our team in Torrance, CA.
Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspection of parts, components, subassemblies, and assemblies for conformance to blueprints, engineering specifications, and Customer requirements
- Develop and establish inspection standards/work instructions and inspection plan
- Support in-process inspection objectives by ensuring a stable and consistent workflow and resolving issues in a participative, proactive, and positive manner
- Perform body inspections of vehicles and vehicle components as required in accordance with Singer standards and operating procedures including but not limited to:
- Performing quality inspections during and after surfacing and paint processes
- Performing quality inspections prior to or during assembly processes
- Verifying all required processes have been completed before releasing vehicle to next process step
- Tracking quality issues into Singer’s nonconformance ticketing system and follow up on action items with action owners
- Preparing and communicating inspection reports and communicating quality levels with the relevant internal and external teams
- Support Planning/Scheduling, Engineering, Procurement, and Assembly teams
- Responsible for work area safety and cleanliness
- Follow relevant processes and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma with two (2) to four (4) years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of the entire vehicle highly preferred
- High attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communications skills; ability to express ideas clearly and actively listen to others
- Team oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to multiple deadlines
- Excellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and collaborative skills with the ability to prioritize efficiently and effectively within and across departments
- Computer literate including emails, Excel, and other programs
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Pay
The starting pay range for this position is between $21.00 - 30.00 per hour plus bonus. Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
This position is based in Torrance, CA and the schedule is Monday – Friday 5am – 1:30pm with overtime.
