Quality Assurance Inspector

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will ensure products meet quality standards prior to customer delivery. This role involves performing final inspections to guarantee products align with company and customer specifications. Reading Truck is a leading manufacturer and distributor of premium truck bodies with commercial upfits for vocational markets nationwide, emphasizing innovation and a pioneering attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and ensure all units are built to customer specifications, engineering drawings, BOMs, standards, or other forms of requests.
• Use computer experience (Microsoft Office) to support quality assurance tasks.
• Direct others within the work area to complete rework items.
• Conduct in-process quality audits and review standards with production supervisors when errors or defects are detected.
• Perform final inspections per Reading and customer specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with Operations and Sales to meet on-time delivery and budgetary goals.
• Direct and coordinate the quality process, drive continuous quality improvements, and ensure product integrity.
• Train the workforce on quality standards and specifications.
• Adhere to company safety regulations and assist in training new employees on safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Check and verify camera systems.
• Certify all altered vehicles and tag them with the correct information.
• Weigh all vehicles and label as required.
• Perform other duties as required or directed by management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a quality control/quality assurance position.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, final assembly, or quality assurance environment.
