About the role
Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for ensuring production standards are met and maintained for products before they leave the facility. This is achieved by continuously evaluating the product through highly accurate inspection, reporting and recording of deficiencies found.
Responsibilities
- Support quality initiatives for the Hyundai and Kia product lines.
- Provide quality assurance support to the Hyundai and Kia door module, latch, and other platforms.
- Provide shop floor support to quality assurance specialists and production by accurately reporting and recording quality issues.
- Travel to customer locations to address quality issues when necessary.
- Coordinate the containment of defective material.
- May be assigned to perform incoming inspection of components.
- May be assigned to perform some production support duties.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Skills
- Ability to utilize computer applications such as Microsoft Office suite.
- At least one year’s experience in a production environment.
- Ability to work overtime on short notice.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Familiar with blueprints, dimensional check fixture gaging, GD&T, handheld measuring tools (preferred but not required).
- Math and algebra skills are highly desired.
- Good handwriting skills.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Continually stand or walk >90% of work time.
- Continually required to talk, hear, write.
- Required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and inability to adjust focus.
- The work area is heat/air conditioned within an office environment, with 100% of the time spent in a shop floor environment.
