Now, we’re entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team, contributing to the PDW Quality Assurance program. The ideal candidate will thrive working in an innovative and fast-paced work environment, have excellent critical thinking skills, and will play a pivotal role in assuring product conformity to PDW’s end users. What You'll Do Inspect first articles, in-process, and final assemblies prior to shipmentPerform mechanical inspections of machined metal and plastic purchased componentsPerform various inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gages, comparators, and fixtures to verify in process work and perform detailed inspection of final productComplete all data inspection control plans as required via Microsoft suite and SharePoint data repositoryPerform Inspections on electro-mechanical assemblies, cables and wire harnessesPerform visual PCBA inspections to Engineering requirementsWill assist in all areas of Inspection – Receiving Inspection, PCBA Inspection, Sub-Assembly Inspection, Final Assembly InspectionInterface with Production Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain as required to ensure purchased components meet PDW Purchase Order and Engineering requirementsComply with all Company Policies and Quality Management System Procedures Requirements Extensive experience in inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gages, thread gages, comparators, and fixtures to verify in process work and perform detailed inspection of final productExperience inspecting PCBA and Wire Harness assembliesExperience with Electro-Mechanical assembliesProven ability to successfully multi-task in a fast paced, high throughput environment.Proven ability to work collectively within a larger group or individuallyAbility to read and understand technical Engineering documentsProven ability to complete Inspection documentation accuratelyAbility to utilize Microsoft Suite platform and SharePointOrganizational and Time Management disciplineProblem solving and Analytical thinking skillsMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance or higher, as required Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift / carry up to 25 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment. Work Environment This position may have exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and non-climate-controlled environments. May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the environment. This is a fast-paced work environment and requires cross departmental collaboration with independent and team-based responsibilities. Standard works hours for this position are 7:00AM – 3:30PM with occasional overtime as operational needs demand.
