What You’ll Do
- Responsible for quality inspection of loads to ensure materials are free from debris such as concrete, dirt, trash, etc.
- Performs quality checks to prevent hazardous materials, such as lithium batteries, propane tanks or gasoline tanks from entering stream for processing.
- Determines deductions from loads if unwanted materials are found.
- Directs all site traffic for all trucks in and out of the facility.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and practices.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- A high level of attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward maintaining safety and quality standards
- Customer service experience
- Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment to include evenings and weekends
- A team player with excellent communication and customer service skills
- A high school diploma or GED-equivalent
- Must have reliable transportation
- Prior experience in Quality Assurance preferred but not required
- Basic computer proficiency
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the Quality Assurance Inspector will be in an environment of field work.
- The employee may be working near moving mechanical parts and will be in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud and require ear protection.
- The employee is required to sit, walk and stand for periods of time.
- This job also requires: frequent bending, kneeling and standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., working in confined spaces, and ability to work in high/low temperatures.
- The employee may be required to use a computer for extended periods of time.
- Communication will be via telephone, mobile phone, email, text and in-person with others to exchange accurate information.
