Quality Assurance Inspector

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for quality inspection of loads to ensure materials are free from debris such as concrete, dirt, trash, etc.
• Performs quality checks to prevent hazardous materials, such as lithium batteries, propane tanks or gasoline tanks from entering stream for processing.
• Determines deductions from loads if unwanted materials are found.
• Directs all site traffic for all trucks in and out of the facility.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and practices.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED-equivalent
• Must have reliable transportation
• Prior experience in Quality Assurance preferred but not required
• Basic computer proficiency

Other Job Demands

• While performing the essential functions of this job, the Quality Assurance Inspector will be in an environment of field work.
• The employee may be working near moving mechanical parts and will be in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
• The noise level in the work environment can be loud and require ear protection.
• The employee is required to sit, walk and stand for periods of time.
• This job also requires: frequent bending, kneeling and standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., working in confined spaces, and ability to work in high/low temperatures.
• The employee may be required to use a computer for extended periods of time.
• Communication will be via telephone, mobile phone, email, text and in-person with others to exchange accurate information.
