About the role
Moog Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. This role will involve planning, implementing, and administering cost-effective quality programs to ensure systems meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide necessary protection to Moog and its customers.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and administer cost-effective quality programs to ensure systems meet or exceed contractual quality requirements and provide necessary protection to Moog and its customers.
- Support program teams in meeting contractual requirements and driving crucial quality-related decisions for customers such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Airbus, and Sikorsky for military aircraft.
- Act as the Moog liaison and representative to support Government (DCMA) programs, audits, and requirements.
- Conduct QE studies, recommend design changes, and provide quality support to manufacturing personnel.
- Perform activities including failure analysis, root cause and corrective action analysis, risk mitigation, material review, customer & governmental interface, audit support, configuration control, traceability, and audit support.
- Optimize cost for inspection and prevent costs due to failure through statistical analysis and problem-solving.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and team-building qualities, effectively resolving complex quality problems using a team approach.
- Be self-motivated and follow through on assignments with limited supervision, managing multiple assignments and programs concurrently.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- 3 years Professional Experience as an Engineer (Quality, Manufacturing, or Product Engineer) in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work onsite in East Aurora, NY.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Quality Engineering experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment or other regulated industry.
- General knowledge in the areas of Root Cause / Corrective Action, LEAN, AS9100 Quality Systems.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Exposure to ERP systems.
Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering.

Pay
$85,000.00–$115,000.00 Annually
