About the role

ADESA is seeking a Detailer to join our team. Reporting to the Reconditioning Manager or other designated manager, this individual will ensure the quality of the Detail Shop process.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect the quality of work done by each team member, identifying vehicle quality that does not meet company standards.
  • Communicate with team members in a positive and collaborative manner when quality does not meet standards.
  • Identify the strengths of detailers to effectively create their assignments within the detail process.
  • Ensure proper techniques and procedures are being implemented by team members.
  • Train team members on standard operating procedures for vehicle detail.
  • Assist on the detail line and perform final detail tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment and friendly disposition.
  • Aid in shop cleaning and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Report all incidents to management immediately.
  • Properly log the vehicle information into the computer upon satisfactory completion of inspection.
  • Photograph and stage vehicles to ensure focused and clear pictures per standards.
  • Return customer’s vehicles in clean condition.
  • Run inventory reports for the detail shop.
  • Advise the designated Manager of all equipment breakdowns and required maintenance immediately.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year Detailing/Reconditioning experience preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements.
  • Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and applications.
