The QAO will primarily be charged with managing procedures and processes pertaining to incidents, complaints, deviations and recalls, as well as investigating diversion threats or reportable incidents, including discrepancies during transport. Any investigation related to suspected diversion will be conducted by the QAO in coordination with the Chief Security Officer/Security Director and Patient Care Director (or Coordinator). After the conclusion of the investigation, the QAO will make a recommendation to amend the Dispensing Organization’s SOPs to prevent similar future incidents. In Addition To Incident Management, The QAO Will Oversee both quality control and quality assuranceEstablish and enforce quality assurance standards providing technical and regulatory services in growing inputs, packaging and production of medical marijuana productsSupport continuous quality improvement through creation of specifications and performance and oversight of various auditing and investigation actionsReview regulations, documents, and reports pertaining to the Department of Health Office of Compassionate Use, as well as any future regulations or oversightDevelop, update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Operations ManualsInteract with Patient Care Director to create a cohesive well run quality assurance programOversee and assist in quality control with critical/technical review of documents, test results, procedures and production equipmentApply technical knowledge to troubleshoot production issuesInvestigate product non-conformances; conduct material reviews for complaints, and document findings and responses Note: The statements above are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to the job. Eligible candidates for the QAO position will have at least five years experience as a Quality Assurance Manager in a regulated environment including experience conducting records management, inventory audits, and developing and enforcing corrective action plans. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in quality assurance systems, documentation and testing methods and have experience establishing and maintaining version controlled standards and workflows. All candidates must be at least 21 years of age and be able to pass an FBI background check. A background in chemistry and plant biology is preferred as well as prior experience working within the medical marijuana industry.
