About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Full-Time Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist (GG-1910-13) to lead the Quality Assurance Section at Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), specifically within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division (HNC), at Joint Base (JB) San Antonio - Lackland.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Division Quality Assurance Section lead, overseeing quality assurance personnel and processes.
- Plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium-sized organization.
- Analyze, plan, and adjust work operations to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
- Ensure the safeguarding of classified information through knowledge of security practices.
- Work knowledge of manufacturing and repair processes in branches where maintenance is performed.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a “Top Secret” security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices, and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and repair processes in branches where maintenance is performed.
- Highly Desired Skills:
- Prior quality assurance/inspection experience
- Prior maintenance experience
- Prior supervisory/leadership experience

Benefits
Retention/Recruitment incentives may be available based on experience. Relocation incentives may be paid. Salary range: $108,001– $140,403 per year based on experience. Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
