Quality Assurance Auditor

About the role
To ensure all products meet the highest quality standards required for the Global Aftermarket by continuously auditing the assembly process.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections prior to, during, and post-assembly to verify correct components.
- Conduct quality checks of components for defects as requested by Quality Assurance and/or Assembly Supervisors.
- Utilize Inspectors, QA Supervisors, and Engineers when required.
- Monitor the assembly process to ensure proper packaging techniques are followed per work instructions, including:
- Signing off on shop orders.
- Verifying images attached and correct country of origin.
- Ensuring labels on kits match master pack labels.
- Using master samples if images in OPTICAT are unavailable.
- Provide feedback to Quality and Assembly Supervisors on quality issues found at packing stations (e.g., Shanklin, Clamco, table pack, and all subassembly areas) across all product lines.
- Interpret SAP transactions for research to resolve inventory imbalances.
- Interchange product markings from OEMs and vendors to MAHLE Aftermarket Inc. part numbers.
- Audit 1st and 2nd shifts with random checks and audits of master pack quantity and packaging.
- Perform other activities as assigned by departmental management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Computer proficiency.
- Quality Control background and/or experience.
- Knowledge of packaging techniques.
- Inventory/Warehouse-related background and knowledge of internal engine parts preferred.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Ability to complete basic math calculations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to use hands to feel, handle, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
- Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
