Responsibilities

• Assists with Microbiological Testing, Specification Tests, and WIS (wet in shell) kernel recovery, water chemistry, fresh water, and autoclave operations.
• Assists with product sampling and quality analysis of nut in shell.
• Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices for food processing.
• Performs other work-related duties as needed and supports the Quality Assurance Team.
• Adheres to all company safety standards and procedures.
• Works night shifts and extended daily work hours.
• Maintains regular attendance.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• High school diploma; factory or lab experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to follow instructions.

Physical demands

• Seldom: Reaching overhead, pinching, gripping, squatting, climbing, lifting over 20 lbs.
• Occasional: Walking, finger dexterity, pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs. using a pallet jack.
• Frequent: Wrist movement, repetitive motion, lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Constant: Standing, depth perception, carrying up to 50 lbs.

Work environment

• Exposure to noise (85+ dB).
• Exposure to heat (up to 85°F) and cold (up to 60°F).
• May work at heights above 3 ft.
• Exposure to dust, electrical, and mechanical hazards.
