We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance and Food Safety Supervisor to join our dynamic and innovative engineering team. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with a passion for excellence, a thorough understanding of food safety, and a keen eye for detail.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of sanitation and quality control in our food manufacturing processes. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Assurance and Food Safety program to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes to identify potential risks and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Implement and oversee Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans to identify, control, and prevent potential food safety hazards.
  • Lead and manage the sanitation team to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the manufacturing facility.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on food safety measures, quality control, and sanitation procedures.
  • Investigate any quality or food safety incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure food safety and quality standards are integrated into all aspects of the manufacturing process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to food safety and quality assurance.
  • Provide regular reports to management on the status of the Quality Assurance and Food Safety program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, and sanitation in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Expert knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Certification in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or a related field is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of food safety and quality assurance.
