About the role
The Quality Assurance Analyst executes software test plans to identify software problems and their causes prior to release.
Responsibilities
- Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures from complex business requirements and specifications
- Test system modifications to prepare for implementation
- Develop or specify standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
- Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
- Document software defects using a bug tracking system and report defects to software developers
- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates
- Test integration between systems and analyze data
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
- Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, and to mitigate risks
- Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
- Assist in creating scenarios and data to be automated
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field AND six (6) years of experience in software testing with specific emphasis in the web applications environment and multiple database platforms OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to automate tests using commercial or open-source tools
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and assume full responsibility for delivering projects on time
- Flexibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases
- Experience testing data transfer and system integration
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities and a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, software testing concepts, and test methodologies
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, maintaining strong relationships with peers and management outside of the department
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and web tools
- Ability to travel 5% of the time
- Ability to clear required background check
Qualifications
- Experience in Python, Perl, Shell Scripting, Java, Ruby
- Experience testing internationalized systems
- Experience testing for 508 compliance or other relevant accessibility compliances
- Experience working with an offshore or remote team
Pay
Salaries will differ based on education, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,944.50 - $83,000.00. Eligible employees may receive a bonus.

This is a regular, full-time position. The work environment is office- or home-based with moderate noise levels (computers, printers, light foot traffic).
