Description

Inspect and test processed, machined, fabricated or assembled parts or products for defect, wear, and deviations from specifications.

  • Typically has a high school diploma.
  • The technical skills include the knowledge of machines and tools.
  • Education/Experience: Associates degree or equivalent experience/training required, 5-7 years experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
  • Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications.
  • Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.
  • Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results.
  • Notify supervisors and other personnel about production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
  • Observe and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustments.

Additional Manager Notes

  • This candidate should have experience with manufacturing quality processes.
  • The hiring manager will prioritize relevant experience over formal education.
  • The ideal candidate must be familiar with metrology and have strong auditing experience.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with the operations and warehouse teams, meeting with operations personnel, confirming audit requirements, verifying parts, and communicating with technicians.
  • The candidate will also review products and process audits, follow work instructions, ensure the proper tools are being used, inspect inventory, and identify or scrap nonconforming parts.
  • In addition to daily quality responsibilities, this role includes project-based work.
  • The candidate will assist with implementing new processes, participate in pilot runs, and support the evaluation and documentation of new findings and process improvements.
  • This is an onsite assignment with a Monday through Thursday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Pay and Schedule

  • Pay: $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
  • W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits.
  • ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
  • Schedule: 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
