Quality Assurance Analyst - Advanced - Junior Tester

12-month contract role in Columbia, SC (29210) – hybrid schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote. Shift hours: 8 AM to 5 PM.

About the Role

The Quality Assurance Tester – Advanced will collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) on complex, change-oriented projects. The PMO staffs all projects and sets IT governance and standards followed by enterprise teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests on technical solutions to isolate and resolve issues; analyze results and propose fixes.
• Translate functional and technical requirements and designs into test cases.
• Develop and execute functional and technical test cases under guidance of test leads.
• Create and maintain SDLC traceability from test cases to requirements and software components.
• Assist in generating requirement traceability matrices.
• Participate in defect triage, retesting, and resolution.
• Produce quality assurance documentation and reports.
• Communicate test status and defects clearly in writing and verbally.

Requirements

• 2 years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios.
• 2 years of manual testing techniques (functional, regression, smoke, usability, boundary testing).
• 3 years deep knowledge of healthcare operations, preferably Medicaid, and business processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in technical, business, healthcare, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Skills

• 2 years’ experience with large enterprise or e-business systems.
• 3 years’ experience using QA tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
• 3 years prior experience in a standard SDLC (waterfall) and Agile delivery.
• Technical or Project Management certifications from recognized sources.
