Purpose and Impact
The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst II is responsible for executing and designing test strategies with moderate independence. This role analyzes requirements, identifies defects, and contributes to improving quality processes. The QA Analyst II works closely with development teams and may mentor junior QA staff.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain quality standards throughout the product lifecycle, from design to deployment
- Identify and resolve defects early to prevent costly rework or customer dissatisfaction
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and technical specifications
- Improve product reliability, usability, performance, security, and compatibility
- Provide feedback to development and design teams to enhance future releases
Test Planning & Strategy
- Developing test plans, defining scope, resources, schedule, and deliverables
Requirements Review
- Analyzing and validating product requirements to ensure completeness and clarity
Test Case & Script Development
- Creating detailed test cases and automated scripts for manual and automated testing
Test Execution
- Running tests across platforms, environments, and devices to verify functionality, performance, and security
Defect Management
- Identifying, documenting, prioritizing, and tracking defects until resolution
Regression & Performance Testing
- Ensuring new changes don't break existing functionality and that systems perform well under load
Collaboration
- Working with developers, testers, product managers, and stakeholders to address issues and improve processes
Quality Audits & Reviews
- Monitoring processes, conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to quality standards
Continuous Improvement
- Recommending process changes, automation, and quality enhancements to prevent future defects
Requirements
- Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Poly
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0–2 years of experience in quality assurance, testing, or related field
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) or QA processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills (Excel, test tracking tools, etc.)
- 3–5 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments
- Basic scripting or programming knowledge (Java, Python, etc.)
- Familiarity with APIs and database validation
Schedule
The courses being supported are active from 0800-1700 M-F. Contract core hours are 1000-1400.

$145,000 - $195,000
