Quality Associate (REQ880)

About the role

Join the Sheboygan Falls - Spartech Team! In Sheboygan Falls we heavily support medical, food, and graphic-arts customers with thin-gauge plastic sheeting for thermoforming and printing applications. You’ve most likely seen a product made from materials produced at our plant—iTunes cards, Home Depot signs, even the covers of comic books.

As a Quality Associate, you will test product batches and make adjustments to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. You will also test incoming raw materials and maintain Certificates of Analysis (COA) from suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard tests on assigned product-line production batches and on some incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with Company and customer specifications.
• Act as a technical resource to production, addressing issues related to production batches.
• Recommend and may develop adjustments to batches to meet specifications.
• Record test results in SAP and maintain reference files.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, and documents.
• Ensure all gauges and test equipment are verified.
• Participate in investigations of complaints and corrective actions as needed.
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
• Complete and send documentation to customers (e.g., COA).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of manufacturing industry experience in production, quality, or lab.
• 1 year of experience with problem-solving techniques.
• 1 year of experience with R&D and technology, including color matching.
