About the role
The Quality Associate position at the Spartech Greenville Ohio facility plays a crucial role in ensuring product quality and compliance with customer specifications. This role involves testing product batches, auditing manufacturing processes, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Performs standard tests on assigned product batches and incoming raw materials as needed
- Issues rejections if material is out of specification
- Recommends adjustments to meet specifications and records test results in SAP
- Maintains Certificates of Analysis (COA) from suppliers and completes and maintains all required paperwork
- Collects, stores, and retains product samples and ensures all gauges and test equipment are verified and calibrated
- Audits processes to ensure proper paperwork is completed and processes are within established limits
- Participates in investigations of complaints and corrective actions
- Fulfills safety and work rule requirements, maintains departmental cleanliness, and sends documentation to customers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 to 5 years quality/lab experience in manufacturing environment
- Visual inspection and color matching experience is desirable
- Experience in plastic extrusion, web converting, or films is preferred
