Quality Associate I - Receiving Inspection
Reports to: VP, Global Quality Assurance • Location: Ellabell, GA (Savannah DC)
About the role
The Quality Associate I – Receiving Inspection is responsible for inspecting incoming materials and products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This role supports product quality through inspections, testing, documentation, supplier communication, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials, products, and returned goods for compliance with specifications and blueprints.
- Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections and document results.
- Identify and report nonconforming materials; coordinate corrective actions with suppliers, Production, and Supply Chain.
- Support customer complaint investigations through product inspections and documentation.
- Conduct cycle, performance, and validation testing as directed.
- Assist with supplier products audits and new product evaluations.
- Maintain accurate quality records and prepare routine reports.
- Rework, kit, and sort inventory lots as needed.
- Apply statistical process control methods when appropriate.
- Support Distribution Center operations and other quality initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ year of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience preferred.
- Warehouse or distribution center experience required.
- Experience with Blue Yonder or other inventory management systems preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiar with quality assurance activities, especially inspection.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork.
- Able to work cross functionally.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
Work Environment
- Indoor distribution center/warehouse environment that may not be temperature controlled.
- Regular exposure to warehouse equipment and moderate to high noise levels.
- Frequent standing, walking, and material handling.
Schedule
1st Shift, Mon-Fri 7 am - 3:30 pm
