About the role

The Quality Associate ensures all finished cable products meet customer specifications and company quality standards before shipment. This position performs final inspections, verifies product measurements, and confirms that all orders are accurate, complete, and ready for delivery. Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to quality are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final quality inspections on all customer orders prior to shipment.
  • Measure cable lengths and verify they meet customer specifications and manufacturing requirements.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, workmanship, labeling, and packaging accuracy.
  • Verify that all components, documentation, and quantities match customer orders.
  • Identify and report any defects, non-conforming products, or quality concerns.
  • Work closely with production staff to resolve quality issues before products are shipped.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and complete required quality documentation.
  • Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Keep the inspection area clean, organized, and efficient.
  • Audit and test products in all areas to ensure they follow company standards.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or quality inspection experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in cable manufacturing is a plus.

Skills

  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
  • Basic math skills, including working with fractions and measuring to customer specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and customer specifications.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive inspection tasks.
  • Ability to lift materials as needed in accordance with company safety guidelines.
  • Proficient with MS Office Word and Excel.
