About the role
JELD-WEN Holding, Inc. is a leading global designer, manufacturer, and distributor of high-performance interior and exterior doors, windows, and related building products serving the new construction and repair and remodeling sectors. The company operates across North America and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished doors and windows for compliance with specifications.
- Perform destructive and non-destructive tests according to standards.
- Use measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Record inspection results accurately and maintain documentation per JELD-WEN’s quality procedures.
- Identify and report non-conforming products; assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions, ensure containment and disposition of non-conforming materials.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and support process improvements.
- Participate in internal audits and support compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Technical training or certification in quality or manufacturing preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection role, ideally in building products or related industries.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Excel, ERP systems).
