Audubon is seeking a Quality and Technical Specialist to join our team in Houston, TX. This role ensures the integrity and safety of field personnel by providing expert support for facility non-destructive testing, data, and quality.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance to field technicians, engineers, and managers.
- Determine needed materials and manpower per client scope of work and assist management with the creation of estimates and proposals.
- Collaborate with engineering and field teams to develop and implement NDT techniques and inspection procedures.
- Audit field data, reports, and field personnel for procedural compliance; identify and address deficiencies or areas for improvement.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on pipeline integrity and NDT methods.
- Stay current with industry standards and advancements in NDT technology.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive database of qualified personnel, tracking certifications and training records.
- Coordinate and schedule Operator Qualification (OQ) assessments and training for employees.
- Ensure OQ training and assessments are completed timely and according to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with operators and industry partners to stay current on OQ requirements and best practices.
- Manage and maintain documentation related to OQ records, assessments, and training materials.
- Develop and deliver quality reports and updates to senior management.

- Perform duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety.
- Participate in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities.
- Identify and report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Follow safe work practices and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- NDT experience is required.
- Data experience is required.
- Documentation control experience is required.
- Proven experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Knowledge of NACE and industry standards related to corrosion control.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with inspection and monitoring equipment and tools.
- Safety-conscious with a commitment to adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with relevant software.
- Technical knowledge of pipeline integrity programs.
- Continuous learning and staying updated with industry advancements.
