About the role

Rolled Metal Products, Inc. is seeking a Quality and Safety Coordinator to join our management team at our Northeast service center. This position ensures the achievement of product quality through our quality system, established standards (ISO 9001:2015, ASTM), and customer requirements. The role also acts as Safety Champion to maintain compliance with Pennsylvania’s certified safety committee program.

Responsibilities

  • Apply and implement ISO 9001:2015 quality system principles across all operations; formulate and maintain quality control objectives.
  • Create and document quality system procedures in accordance with ISO 9001:2015.
  • Lead Quality Audits and act as Safety Champion for Pennsylvania’s certified safety committee program.
  • Review and interpret specifications, standards, and customer purchase orders; make decisions on product applications.
  • Prepare and present reports to management, customers, and vendors on quality-related business activities.
  • Investigate customer complaints, rejections, returns, and internal improvement requests; adjust the quality system to enhance performance.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Shipping & Receiving, Warehouse, Administration, Purchasing, and management.
  • Travel to customer and vendor sites to resolve discrepancies or issues.
  • Promote employee training, development, and a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee inspection and testing activities to ensure control over materials, products, and costs.
  • Train employees on Rolled Metal Products’ quality requirements.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Four-year college degree in business or related field (preferred).
  • Two years of experience in quality control (preferred).
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience (preferred).
