Quality Analytics Manager
About the role
The Quality Analytics Manager utilizes data analysis skills and tools to evaluate Vertex operations, processes, and systems and recommends strategic process improvements based on research findings. This role is a key contributor in driving data-centric decision making within the Quality organization and advises business partners in the design and delivery of data models and data analysis that enhance Vertex delivery and oversight.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends and patterns in complex data sets and prepares ongoing reports and data visualizations to support decision-making
- Develops and implements data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Generates and maintains metrics for Quality Leadership Teams to permit effective governance of Vertex quality systems and activities
- Identifies and documents data life cycles, data sources, and chain of custody
- Develops methods for collecting, storing, analyzing, and reporting on multiple data types taken from disparate systems
- Identifies projects or initiatives that could benefit from quantitative review
- Identifies and contributes to the implementation of continuous improvement opportunities
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in developing queries, report writing, and data visualization
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (R, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
- Experience using data analysis and visualization applications (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) and with data analysis techniques
- Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry or a comparable regulated industry
- Awareness of regulations applicable to pharmaceutical and/or device development, manufacturing, and distribution
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
- Typically requires 4 years of experience in data analysis and reporting or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Pay
Pay range: $114,400 – $171,600. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary will be based on skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Schedule
This is a Remote-Eligible role with flexible options:
- Remote: Work remotely five days per week and come into the office on occasion
- Hybrid: Work remotely up to two days per week
- On-Site: Work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility
