Quality Analyst (Case Management Analyst)
About the role
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps low-income individuals purchase nutritious food. This position is located in OFA's Bureau of Program Integrity, which reviews SNAP cases to ensure they are processed accurately and on time. In this role, you will evaluate the work of county caseworkers to confirm that decisions on SNAP cases comply with all applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review food assistance budgets
- Research food assistance policy
- Manage and coordinate your schedule
- Travel to counties to interview clients
- Review screens in the Ohio Benefits eligibility system
- Send contact letters to clients
- Complete interviews with clients
- Complete cases in the Federal System
- Upload materials and verifications for each review
Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following options:
Option 1
- 36 months experience as a public assistance caseworker with experience in all categories of public assistance
- 3 months experience training or 3 months experience in technical writing
- 3 months experience training or 3 months experience in mainframe databases
- Valid Ohio driver license
Option 2
- Completion of undergraduate core coursework in social &/or behavioral science
- 12 months training or 12 months experience in public assistance regulations & policies relative to all public assistance programs
- 3 months experience training or 3 months experience in technical writing
- 3 months experience training or 3 months experience in mainframe databases
- Valid Ohio driver license
Option 3
- Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above
Schedule
- Full-time
- Standard workdays are Monday through Friday
- Hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
- Requires traveling 2–3 times per month
Pay
This position is in the State of Ohio’s OCSEA/AFSCME Pay Schedule, Pay Range 32. Starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $31.47 per hour). With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year.

Travel: Requires traveling 2–3 times per month. ODJFS Fleet vehicles are available for travel use. In order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid driver license.
