The Case Manager role at Black Mountain Home for Children is more than just a job; it’s a calling. Responsibilities
- Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a strong Christian witness in all interactions with youth, staff, donors, volunteers, and the public to uphold Black Mountain Home's mission of Glorifying God by caring for children, youth, and families
- Commit to praying regularly for youth, staff, and the ministry
- Oversee youth admissions, in-care social services, and discharges
- Implement CARE principles in youth services
- Represent the organization in community groups and help build bridges between the ministry and the broader community
- Offer after-hours on-call support and emergency coverage in residential cottages
- Maintain required records for all assigned youth, ensuring compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements
- Attend staff meetings which include participation in a time of Christian devotion and prayer
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution; bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years' directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- MUST have a valid driver's license
- Flexibility, patience, and a heart for transformation
- Residential experience with children is a plus, but not required
