About the role

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking a full-time Qualified Professional for Peer Support Services to join our team in Morehead City, NC. This role plays a crucial part in our mission of empowering individuals and strengthening communities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides screening, evaluations, diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, counseling, psychotherapy, crisis stabilization, and referral services for adults receiving outpatient mental health and substance use treatment.
  • Works collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, community partners, and support systems to develop person-centered treatment and aftercare plans.
  • Facilitates individual and group services, coordinates referrals and community resources, and supports client progress across life domains.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an entity approved by USDOE, CHEA or CACREP.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with the supported population and meets qualifications for Qualified Professional.
  • Must be or have been a recipient of MH or SA or both services in the past.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Valid, unrestricted North Carolina driver’s license; reliable transportation; and current vehicle insurance.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.

Qualifications

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
