Summary of Position
Community-Based Child and Family Counselor (QMHP-C) provides direct clinical services to youth and their families in home, school, and community settings. Responsibilities include initiating, organizing, and implementing individualized clinical interventions, developing service plans, collaborating with families and stakeholders, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field (required)
- Must meet Virginia QMHP-C criteria, including at least 1 year of clinical experience working with children/adolescents, or equivalent combination of education and supervised experience as defined by DBHDS
- Active QMHP-C registration or eligibility in Virginia required
- Experience providing services to children and families in a clinical or community-based setting preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and engagement skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred
- Bilingual (e.g., Spanish speaking) skills a plus
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
Pay
$30.00 per hour
