Responsibilities
- Respond to walk-in behavioral health needs by triaging clients, assessing urgency, and prioritizing care to ensure timely evaluation and intervention in a fast-paced outpatient urgent care environment.
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations, risk assessments, and crisis screenings to determine immediate clinical needs.
- Document assessments, interventions, treatment recommendations, and clinical encounters accurately and timely within the electronic health record.
- Provide brief, solution-focused therapeutic interventions and crisis stabilization services for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use concerns.
- Develop individualized safety and stabilization plans that support clients' immediate needs and promote ongoing recovery.
- Collaborate with psychiatric providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate same-day evaluations, treatment recommendations, and follow-up care.
- Connect clients to appropriate outpatient, community-based, or higher levels of care through referrals and care coordination.
- Advocate for clients by identifying barriers to care and facilitating access to behavioral health, medical, and community resources.
- Maintain client confidentiality and deliver services in accordance with professional, ethical, organizational, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in a social science field (as defined by the Department of Mental Health).
- At minimum, provisionally licensed as a PLPC or LMSW in the state of Missouri.
- Preference given to individuals with clinical licensure in the state of Missouri as an LPC or LCSW.
- Two (2) years of clinical experience in direct service provision to adults and children in a mental health setting preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfort with electronic health records and intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and use of email).
Schedule Requirements
- Full-time position, consisting of three (3) 12-hour shifts each week, plus one (1) 8-hour shift every other week.
- Urgent Care operates seven (7) days per week; candidates must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
