Qualified Mental Health Professional

About the Role

We are seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional to deliver Medicaid-aligned behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families in El Paso and surrounding communities. This is a 1099 independent contractor engagement, not employment. Contractors maintain independent professional judgment within applicable service delivery standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver authorized skills training, crisis intervention, medication training and support, and targeted case management.
• Develop and update crisis and safety plans as clinically appropriate.
• Coordinate with caregivers, community partners, and treatment team members as needed.
• Provide face-to-face services in approved settings, including homes, schools, and community locations.
• Complete accurate and timely progress notes, service records, and other required billing and compliance documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Qualified Mental Health Professional or Qualified Mental Health Professional Community Services eligible.
• Experience supporting children, adolescents, and families preferred.
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based service model.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to meet required timelines.
• Professional and empathetic communication with clients, families, and community partners.
• Reliable transportation required; field travel between approved service locations is expected.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.

Pay

Base service fee: $25 to $28 per approved billable hour. Services must be properly documented, coded, and eligible for submission and approval.

• Monthly Accelerator Enhancements: An additional $4 to $9 per billable hour may be earned based on total monthly billable hours under a tiered accelerator model.
• Mileage Support Payment (if offered): Monthly support may be available based on verified eligible business mileage (normal commuting excluded). Payments range from $100 to $800 per month, depending on eligible mileage.
• Ramp-Up Minimum Pay (optional and time-limited): Up to 45 days of ramp-up support may be available when eligibility requirements are met.
• Other Incentives (if applicable): Client Recruitment Bonus: $50 for each new client enrolled with active insurance confirmation.

Pay Schedule: Semi-monthly. Work performed from the 1st through 15th is paid on the 22nd. Work performed from the 16th through 31st is paid on the 7th.

Schedule

Earnings are performance-driven and based on billable output, documentation quality, and timely completion under the accelerator model. Trainings or meetings may be offered; participation is generally voluntary unless otherwise stated.
