Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assess client needs and function level.
  • Provides individualized case management to clients.
  • Makes appropriate referrals.
  • Provides some individual and group counseling and education and support to clients and families, skills training and outreach to client homes.
  • Acts as liaison and provides consultation, education and information to community agencies that routinely come in contact with individuals with mental or emotional disturbances.
  • Makes diagnoses.
  • Acts as program coordinator by assisting with program planning activities.
  • Screens clients for program eligibility and conduct comprehensive evaluations resulting in a DSM IV diagnosis.
  • Develops diagnostic evaluations and treatment plans for clients which includes delivery of appropriate services as defined in the detailed treatment plan.

Requirements

  • M.A. degree plus two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Provide individual, group and family counseling or equivalent experience
  • Must hold appropriate CADC licensure or receive the credential/license within 36-months of application
  • Knowledge of regulations and laws governing mental health, behavioral, and addiction services, ethics, confidentiality, privacy, and other related areas
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must pass a criminal background check
