About the role
Join our beautiful Spring Mill Assisted Living & rehabilitation Campus located in heart of Merrillville. Our most important goal is to provide the highest standard of care to our residents in an environment that is safe and secure.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document the oral and/or topical medications that are commonly used in this health campus and that may be ordered for resident use by the attending physician or the Medical Director.
- Follow the medication card practices of the facility.
- Follow the facility procedure for recording the order in the resident’s clinical record, including the type, route, dosage, frequency and strength of each medication.
- Accurately measure, record, and report the vital signs of residents.
- Helps residents maintain independence, promotes dignity and physical safety of each resident.
- Promotes good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene and health.
- Greets and assists all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors and team members.
Requirements
- Current, valid QMA license.
- Experience in long-term care and nursing practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially when delivering sensitive information.
- Ability to think critically under pressure.
- Leadership and supervisory ability.
- Willingness to work independently and harmoniously with other personnel.
Qualifications
- Part time and full time availability.
- Flexible scheduling, including 8 or 12 hour shifts, rotating holiday schedule, and weekend availability.

- 8 or 12 hour shifts.
