Responsibilities
- Oversee organization and implementation of direct supports, person-centered planning and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, staffing, training, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.
- Staff Management
- Participate in hiring events and partner with Talent Acquisition to identify hiring needs for Direct Support Professionals and Program Supervisors.
- Organize and implement on-site orientation and training; monitor training compliance and documentation; conduct monthly staff meetings; attend monthly regional meetings.
- Design and monitor schedules to ensure shift coverage and minimize overtime.
- Conduct rotating performance snapshots and evaluations; review and approve performance evaluations.
- Coach employees, correct behavior, and manage disciplinary actions and terminations in consultation with managers and HR.
- Ensure employee safety and workers’ compensation compliance; assist in return-to-work efforts; implement safety training.
- Program Management
- Act as the Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) where required; write and approve individual program plans; train staff on implementation.
- Audit individual records and program documentation for accuracy and completion.
- Conduct progress meetings and reviews; oversee licensing compliance and program documentation.
- Implement the Sevita compliance plan; manage individual rights and confidentiality standards.
- Oversee management of individuals’ funds and property; audit financial accounts.
- Maintain productive relations with individuals, families, case managers, and stakeholders; provide regular communication.
- Engage in government and community relations; participate in advocacy efforts and prepare for home visits.
- Implement strategies to reduce serious incidents; review incidents and ensure timely reporting.
- Health Care
- Coordinate health care appointments and monitor attendance.
- Oversee medication administration, documentation, and security; ensure staff certification/training.
- Approve purchases of medical supplies and equipment; ensure training in proper use.
- Monitor food service for dietary compliance and individual choice; ensure staff certification/training in meal preparation.
- Financial Management
- Approve purchases of food, supplies, and equipment; review monthly invoices for accuracy and budgetary compliance.
- Oversee census, attendance, and documentation to ensure accurate billing and compliance.
- Monitor staffing hours for budgetary compliance.
- Census Management
- Monitor census performance and escalate potential service disruptions.
- Review referrals to validate fit and identify barriers; coordinate in-person site visits.
- Coordinate preparations for expected placements including staffing, funding, home setup, and safety requirements.
- Maintenance
- Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, clean, and safe; implement training and safety procedures.
- Monitor and implement strategies for neat, clean, and safe program environments.
- Oversee environmental safety; establish preventive maintenance schedules; maintain furnishings and facilities in good repair and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Perform other duties as required, including backfilling roles and being available on-call to support staff, find coverage, or cover shifts.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage Direct Support Professionals, Program Supervisors, and other direct or indirect staff.
- Complete performance evaluations, orientation, and training.
- Make decisions on hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions.
- Resolve employee problems within position responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Two to three years of related experience in the Human Services Industry preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
- Current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance if driving on behalf of the Company or providing transportation.
- Licensure(s) as required by state.
- Medication Management Certificate issued with completion of Company-provided training.
- Mandatory Reporter Certificate issued with completion of Company-provided training.
- Other training(s) and/or certification(s) per state requirements and/or service line.
- For specific programs: AZ Behavioral Health programs must meet BHT requirements.
Work Environment
- Works at the program location(s) they oversee.
- Oversees services or supports in residential, vocational, or in-home settings.
- Travel as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
