QMAP - Memory Care (FT) (2-10)

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe administration of all prescribed medications and treatments as listed on the Medication Administration Record (MAR) and Treatment Administration Record (TAR), as well as providing personal and general nursing care to residents as needed or assigned.

Responsibilities

• Safe administration of medications ensuring the 6 rights of medication administration are followed.
• Count and document all narcotics that are administered to residents.
• Manage the total inventory of medications at the community, including ordering, receiving, verifying, storing, dating, and removing expired or discontinued medications.
• Notify the proper parties when medication supply is low.
• Identify and report discrepancies regarding medication inventory.
• Daily cleaning of all medicine carts at the end of shift and restocking as needed.
• Weekly deep cleaning of all med carts.
• Verify all current MARs are compared to new MARs at changeover time.
• Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, and eating.
• Provide general nursing care, including vital signs, temperatures, blood pressure, and weights.
• Document appropriate information in the daily log as required.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in a senior care setting.
• State-specific QMAP certificate.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional and positive demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail.

Pay

$18.50–$19.50 per hour.
