A Day In The Life
- Conducts daily line audits
- Pulls in process and finished product samples
- Sugar truck samples, water and micro samples as needed
- Works with QC Supervisor to follow quality guidelines, SOPs
- Tests and inspects various stages of production process
- Aids in the remediation of all deviations, variance explanation
- Records test data, applies statistical quality control procedures
- Compiles and examines statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability
- Operates with testing instruments (e.g. CIP, UPLC, water testing)
- Oversees the calibration of equipment
- Conducts sensory testing, taste, odor appearance vs control sample
- Conducts testing on titrator, pH, dosing graduate cylinder mixing
- Participates in technical reviews for GMP compliance
- Reviews raw material and finished good specifications, label approval, master manufacturing records
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards
Who You Are
- Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Microbiology or related technical field
- Desired additional experience: 3-5 years in a regulated industry as a Quality Analyst or Technician for food or dietary supplement manufacturer, minimum 1 year of line auditing
- Desired computer skills: Microsoft Office
- Desired certifications: Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification, Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) certification
- Desired knowledge or skills: General statistics for manufacturing operations, other FDA regulated industry experience in quality or regulatory department
Pay
The estimated hourly pay range for this position is $21 - $28 USD.
