Quality Control (QC) Helper

Assists the Quality Control (QC) Inspector in ensuring electrical construction activities comply with project-specific codes, standards, and specifications. Supports the QC team in inspecting and organizing quality control tasks to promote efficiency and compliance on construction project sites. Works alongside the QC Inspector and other field teams to monitor electrical installations and identify quality issues. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop skills in quality control with opportunities for progression to a QC Inspector role.

Responsibilities

• Support the QC team by conducting basic inspections and tests on electrical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Assist in conducting inspections and testing for critical activities, including both equipment and non-equipment components.
• Support the QC Inspector in identifying, documenting, and reporting non-conforming work and tracking corrective actions.
• Assist in reviewing construction reports, field observation reports, punch lists, and as-built drawings for accuracy.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure safety protocols are followed, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety, and proper PPE use.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the QC Inspector or Quality Control Manager.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in electrical work preferred.
• Experience: At least three (3) years of construction-related electrical field experience.
• Technology: Basic knowledge of computer software programs (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Ability to learn industry-specific software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) is a plus.
• Skills: Initiative, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Work Environment

This position works primarily on a construction project site. Occasional visits to an office environment may be required. Non-traditional hours may be necessary depending on project needs.
