Key Responsibilities
- Follow all established safety rules and procedures
- Demonstrate integrity according to the company's Code of Conduct
- Perform complex testing processes on production batches to measure physical or chemical characteristics
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment
- Record and report observations or test results accurately
- Work with the QC manager, production staff, and development staff to evaluate production or field-related problems
- Identify potential causes of complaints
- Engage in 5S activities
- Participate in area housekeeping responsibilities
- Evaluate test methods for repeatability
- Assist in calibration plans
- Aid in developing training curriculum
- Aid in developing standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Participate in root cause investigations
Job Requirements
- Knowledge of chemical composition, structure, and reactions relevant to production techniques
- Near vision to read labels and see details up close
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow safety instructions and guidelines
- Scoring 32 or lower on a Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Color test
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Strong dedication and commitment to safety leadership
- Experience working in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to chemical agents
- Standing or walking for long periods of time
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and measurements
- Operational monitoring abilities
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
