Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all established safety rules and procedures
  • Demonstrate integrity while adhering to the company's Code of Conduct
  • Perform complex testing processes on production batches to measure product's physical or chemical characteristics
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment
  • Record and report observations or test results in the appropriate QC card or file
  • Work with the QC manager, production staff, and development staff to evaluate production or field-related problems
  • Identify potential causes of complaints
  • Engage in 5S activities
  • Participate in area housekeeping responsibilities
  • Evaluate test methods for repeatability
  • Assist in calibration plans
  • Assist in developing training curriculum
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
  • Participate and aid in root cause investigations

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or science or 1+ year manufacturing or laboratory experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Near vision to read labels and see details up close
  • Score 32 or lower on a Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Color test
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Strong dedication and commitment to safety
  • Physical ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to chemical agents
  • Standing or walking for long periods of time
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, measurements)
  • Ability to operate and control equipment safely and effectively
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
