Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and approve incoming materials and finished products for quality compliance
- Perform laboratory testing, including pH, specific gravity, titrations, microbiological testing, chromatography, and other analytical methods
- Conduct sensory evaluations
- Investigate quality deviations and support root cause analysis efforts
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Accurately document test results and communicate findings to the quality team
- Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field preferred
- 1-3 years of quality control laboratory experience in food, beverage, ingredient, chemical, or related manufacturing environments
- Experience with chromatography (GC preferred) and analytical laboratory equipment
- Strong understanding of chemistry principles and laboratory practices
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Microbiological testing experience
- Knowledge of GMPs and quality systems
- Experience with wet chemistry techniques and laboratory instrumentation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities

Monday-Friday | 10:00 AM-6:30 PM

Contract to Hire position based out of Deerfield, IL.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
