QC Tech Packaging
Daily Duties
- Insure that the proper date code sequence is applied to products and shipping boxes
- C Conduct the written programs for bag weight control
- Randomly inspect final product from each machine
- Insure that corrective actions are taken for out of spec product
- Maintain the laboratory; order supplies as necessary
- Perform analytical tests on products (FFA, moisture, seasoning, bag fill, air fill, etc)
- Inspect incoming lard and oil shipments, perform analytical tests as necessary
- Help to maintain a clean and safe processing area
- Pre op inspections
- ATP Swabs and other quality test
- Make sure all employees are following the GMP’s
- Preform verification prior to start up and at every change over during the shift
- Follow the HACCP program and all other supporting programs
Employee Safety Responsibilities
- Understanding basic electrical Lock Out Tag Out principles
- Wear hearing protection in all areas of the plant
- Wear protective eyewear as necessary in lab and when collecting samples from fryer
- Slip resistant shoes mandatory
- Follow all common employee safety practices
- Must understand SDS sheets and the safe use of chemicals
- Chemical safety training
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Basic understanding of the HACCP program
- Good understanding of the written allergen program
- Good understanding of the glass and hard plastics policy
- Good understanding of the AIB audit process
- Able to identify food safety violations in the production area
- Must follow all food safety regulations
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic computer skills needed for data entry.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Bi-lingual is not required but is a plus.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
