QC Line Inspector - Night Shift

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Monitor and record product weights.
• Check color, odor, and texture.
• Perform seal integrity checks and burst testing.
• Verify product codes, fill temperatures, and quality.
• Complete tear-downs for each seamer head on the running seamer.
• Notify supervisor of out-of-specification measurements after confirmation.
• Fill out required documentation and record information on Quality log sheets.
• Input data into the Quality control computer for further review.
• Participate as a member of the team.
• Contribute to team development, communication, and implementation of programs and policies.
• Attend appropriate team meetings.
• Foster cohesiveness among team members regarding major issues such as direction, annual plans, budget, policy changes, etc.
• Identify and address areas lacking cohesiveness and work with the team to resolve issues and achieve synergy within the organization.
• Maintain familiarity with Simmons' operating systems and responsibilities within these systems.
• Support business objectives as directed.

Technical Experience

Experienced within a manufacturing/process environment with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.

Industry Experience

Background in manufacturing.

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education

Some college and/or Tech School.
