QC Lab Technician

About the Role

This entry-level position is predominantly responsible for microbiological testing and environmental monitoring within the Quality Control (QC) Microbiology department. The role includes maintenance of controlled areas, environmental monitoring, and analysis of results. Work is technical and specialized, requiring accuracy and attention to detail. Testing is defined according to standard operating procedures, and the position is not research-based.

Responsibilities

• Performs required bioburden, bacterial endotoxin testing, and sterility testing.
• Performs viable and non-viable environmental monitoring.
• Reads and interprets environmental monitoring results.
• Operates non-viable particle counter/facility monitoring systems.
• Performs computer data entry with programs such as Microsoft Excel and MODA.
• Maintains accurate records of environmental data and testing.
• Performs sanitation for testing hoods and enclosures.
• Prepares supplies for sterilization (autoclave) and depyrogenation.
• Assists in the stocking and supplying of the QC Micro lab.

Work Environment

• Workers will be working around radiation; they will be trained and provided safety material prior to being put in that environment.
• Fast-paced environment.

Schedule

40 hours a week, 5 days a week, 0800-1630.
