QC Inspector - Visual Inspector 3rd shift

Summary

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs visual inspection of parts/material for cosmetic non-conformances
• Inspecting parts/material for damaged material, nicks, raised material, burrs and assembly process errors
• Capability to use all standard measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, plugs and thread gages
• Able to use instruments such as optical comparator, height gage and transfer stand with dial indicator
• Able to set up and run CMM in manual mode
• Able to read blueprints

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

Reasoning Abilities

• Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Computer Skills

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCad / GeoMagic

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
• The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet
• This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs
