Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs visual inspection of parts/material for cosmetic non-conformances
- Inspecting parts/material for damaged material, nicks, raised material, burrs and assembly process errors
- Capability to use all standard measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, plugs and thread gages
- Able to use instruments such as optical comparator, height gage and transfer stand with dial indicator
- Able to set up and run CMM in manual mode
- Able to read blueprints
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

Reasoning Abilities
- Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCad / GeoMagic

- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts
- The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet
- This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs
