QC Inspector 2 - AOI - Swing Shift

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Operate the AOI
• Review AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of component placement and solder joint defects
• Work closely with the processing and engineering teams to improve visual defect yields
• Perform AOI related quality inspection tasks
• Inspect components or feature chips, ICs, joints, text, connectors, etc., using the AOI
• Inspect PCBA’s and to IPC-A-610 standards, using magnification aids
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of material (BOMs), MPI, ECN, Deviation and other manufacturing documentation related to inspection
• Load AOI programs per instructions
• Perform AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of SMT paste, component placement, and solder joint defect
• Support engineers and production operators with equipment training, data collection and system evaluations
• Assist engineers in data collection and engineering evaluations
• Document defects
• Inspect per IPC-A-610 standards using a microscope
• Support improvement initiatives and participates actively to improve work environment (5S)
• Support and Production as assigned

Required Education & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating AOI equipment
• High School Diploma
• IPC-A-610 Certified
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 & ESD
