Primary Job Responsibilities
- Operate the AOI
- Review AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of component placement and solder joint defects
- Work closely with the processing and engineering teams to improve visual defect yields
- Perform AOI related quality inspection tasks
- Inspect components or feature chips, ICs, joints, text, connectors, etc., using the AOI
- Inspect PCBA’s and to IPC-A-610 standards, using magnification aids
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of material (BOMs), MPI, ECN, Deviation and other manufacturing documentation related to inspection
- Load AOI programs per instructions
- Perform AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of SMT paste, component placement, and solder joint defects
- Support engineers and production operators with equipment training, data collection and system evaluations
- Assist engineers in data collection and engineering evaluations
- Document defects
- Inspect per IPC-A-610 standards using a microscope
- Support improvement initiatives and participates actively to improve work environment (5S)
- Support and Production as assigned
Required Education & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating AOI equipment
- High School Diploma
- IPC-A-610 Certified
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 & ESD
